It is with great pleasure that UNISVET announces the foundation of the Veterinary Dietology Group GDIVET .
The main purpose of the group is to provide the Veterinarian with a continuing high-level medical education in Animal Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.
The Group will organize theoretical and practical events where knowledge and strategies will be shared under the guidance of qualified professionals to provide optimal patient management both from a nutritional and a clinical point of view.
The aim is to define, strengthen and support the role of the Veterinary Dietologist in light of the scientific progress and increasing knowledge in the field of Veterinary Clinical Nutrition and considering the current social context in which the Veterinarian operates.
The Group is addressed exclusively to Veterinarians members of the Professional Register who deal with Nutrition and Dietetics in their daily clinical practice.
GDIVET proposes both training events at UNISVET headquarters and online webinars.
Every trainee can participate actively in the management of several clinical cases and the development of specific diet plans under the supervision of a tutor.
The meetings thus are not only lectures but great opportunities for guided professional development.
The application for the registration in GDIVET is open to colleagues who obtained the Executive Master in Nutrition, Dietetics and Pet Food Technology or other equivalent courses.
The Scientific Committee will evaluate each application and the experience gained by the candidates to ensure optimal knowledge and activities alignment.
In the application form the candidate indicates at least two topics of interest to be developed during the workshop and the suggestion of the corresponding tutor.
The maximum number of participants for each event is 50 with a minimum of 30 to guarantee the smooth running of the meeting.
In case of cancellation the fee will be fully refunded.
At the end of each event a certificate of attendance will be signed and the training hours will be recorded in an individual portfolio.
The program of activities for 2020 will follow as a result of GDIVET coordinators and members expressed preferences to UNISVET.
